If its one person with duplicate accounts its a fake account.drivenmad2042 said:I don't really think it can be called a fake account when it has my name on it and the group is for the local area where I have lived for a long time. I just wanted to keep that separate from my main account. The group was invisible as it was under construction. No one likely knew about the group or the account other than me.Facebook knew, they will always know from their algorithms and technology.4 -
Being a "therapist" is not a regulated occupation in the UK so anybody can legally claim to be one.drivenmad2042 said:Thanks for the answers. I do have a normal account but I do not really use it and besides I would rather have a separate account for the group. On other services people have many accounts so I was assuming Facebook would be the same.I was wondering if linking to medical websites was the issue since I am not a doctor or a therapist.I can confirm that I meant CBT as in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.1 -

Under your initial Facebook account you can have a secondary account, but it is linked to your main account still. I have a main FB account just to occasionally interact with groups and friends, but I also have another 2 IDs within that for 2 different sorts of selling. All 3 are accessed via a single log in and I choose who I want to ‘be’ from the drop down menu by my profile. Each has its own photograph and bio.I don’t explain things very well, but I can go from ‘liking’ my friends photos as ‘me’ to switching to my selling site and posting in my specialist forums as ‘Soolin’s vintage’ (not the real name). I can still be identified as me with a basic search , but it means from a casual view I’m not spamming my wall with sales posts that I put in specialist selling sites.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Any posts you spot in breach of the Forum Rules should be reported via the report button, or by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.All views are my own and not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.2

Yes, it may well be unofficial but if its fellow admin trying to help one another with the benefit of their combined experience, based on the frustration of the Facebook helpline, then surely, it has to be useful.Jenna_Appleseed said:^ says it's unofficial and not run by Facebook employees and they don't help with "Loss of account".

Those are linked pages not secondary accounts or sites (& facebook has groups not forums).soolin said:Under your initial Facebook account you can have a secondary account, but it is linked to your main account still.
