Lloyds Bank customer service calls

Sorry if this has appeared before: does it really cost £6 + a connection charge to phone Lloyds with a bank account query? If so, that's outrageous. So many branches closed I've got to travel into town with a query that could easily be sorted out over the phone.

Are you sure the number isn't part of a scam?1

LLoyds is a 0345 number. these are charged as a local rate call but are often free in mobile packages1

03 numbers are simply standard rate like 01 or 02 numbers but are non-geographical.sheramber said:LLoyds is a 0345 number. these are charged as a local rate call but are often free in mobile packages

Did you do something like "google Lloyds phone number" and then just click on the first link that came up?pennylonglane said:Sorry if this has appeared before: does it really cost £6 + a connection charge to phone Lloyds with a bank account query? If you did then you may well have been 'tricked' by a non-lloyds website who have given you a telephone number that they've created. This will direct you to Lloyds, but you'll be paying the vastly higher prices that the non-lloyds company has set up.0 -

No strange numbers or links come up when I do an unguarded Google search, only the genuine article.

I normally phone via my Lloyds App and this is an 01733 number. In my case it it out of my free minutes with Smarty Mobile.
