Shell broadband migration from PO broadband

Options
i have an issue where i have not been billed at all for my broadband since February this year, i was originally with post office and i received a notification to say that in Feb i was migrating to Shell.
I then got an email from Shell in April apologising saying they had issues migrating accounts over etc and my first bill from them was essentially from migration date in Feb till May as you pay line rental in advance, and as a GW gesture they said they would credit £50 as the bill was larger than what would be a usual amount.
Anyhow i logged into the now shell account and they had made a mistake and were trying to charge me for line rental i had already paid when account was with the post office, i highlighted this with their customer service and they agreed to put an additional credit on the account, ive thought nothing more of it till i realised recently ive not been paying them anything even though i set up a DD over the phone with them.
i wonder where do i stand as i know i technically owe them money (they just haven't billed me yet) I'm just not keen due to their mistakes to pay for it all at once, anyone else have or had a similar experience that can offer advise on?

Make contact with them and highlight the problem.
In writing if possible as well.

If you pull out all the stops to try to get them to generate a bill and they still don't generate one, then when they finally notice you can wave all the correspondence at them and say I told you so x months ago, you screwed up, please write <whatever> months off as a gesture.

If you just ignore them and go for months without any bills you will run the risk of one huge catch-up bill; which is technically valid as there is no such thing as a free lunch.  But you have more chance of an better outcome if you are proactive and don't stick your head in the sand.
  • thank you i will try this approach.
