I thought ebay fees are now 12.8% and previously were 12.9% for ebay and paypal combined ?
No that's wrong.....it varies slightly by final value.....here are a couple of examples:- * sold an item for £19.99 total costs were 14.3% * Sold an item for £45.00 total costs were 13.46%
That's because of the fixed 30p per transaction that Spoonie mentioned above
Well I doubt the OP is concerned about how the transaction costs are made up. Certainly for me it's about the total charges deducted from my EBay sales......which are around 14% IN TOTAL.

The percentage does make a lot of difference though. If you sell something for 99p plus £1 postage (and people do for some reason,) the 30p fixed part makes the fees look astronomical, however if you sell something for £100 then the 30p fixed part makes very little overall difference.
