Is Chase down at the moment?

I know it is getting me down.
I think I've reached the point where the app or system's inconsistency / flakiness is just too much. The risk of it being unavailable when needed is a risk too far. When I can get access, I think I'm joint to go back to my previous current account.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Just use it for the 1% cash back and 5% round up and make sure you have at least 1 other card (preferably Visa) for if it gets declined. I wouldn't have my salary or bills with Chase as their system is too unstable.cloud_dog said:

In all honesty I no longer feel the benefit of Chase is worth it (ease of use, savings and savings pots, 1% cashback, roundup). I really just want to be able to have confidence that if I decide to do something, I can do it. This is not an isolated incident, and I no longer have confidence in Chase. So, it is a bye bye from me (I'll leave it open in the hope it gets there one day).Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Once you lose credibility it's very hard to regain it.cloud_dog said:

I had a few issues earlier but it was intermittent. I was still able to make some Faster Payments.
I've certainly had no more issues with Chase than other banks in terms of their app availability. I am not using them for savings any more due to the rates, but if their rate increased I would be happy to move my money back.0 -
Just used card via Google Pay without any problems and also logged in. I'm on Android.
The home page advises that they are having issues and when you select that message it displays a lot of different issues and severity, many of which are major.0 -
As a comparison, although I accept it is just commentary from an individuals perspective, I've (we've) had our main account with Nationwide for over 16 years and TBH I really cannot remember a time when the banks systems, online web app, or the mobile app have caused me issues. Similarly, I've been running my mothers current account with HSBC for 5+ years and I don't recall any frustrations. I've had the Chase account for less than a year and I don't believe there has been an extended time period where there haven't been issues with one thing or another (and I am ignoring the challenges they faced when their popularity took off, causing system and human delays, which is perfectly understandable).TheBanker said:I had a few issues earlier but it was intermittent. Card transactions work but you could be snookered if you first need to move some money from your savings to your current account.Neil49 said:Just used card via Google Pay without any problems and also logged in. I'm on Android.

I could not log in last night but managed to get in this morning. It asked for my PIN even though I always use FaceID, and FaceID is still switched on. Whilst browsing my current account, I got suddenly logged out, and I have been unable to log back in since. I am getting a plethora if different error messages, ranging from system errors to asking me to change my PIN. Fat chance of that happening! I am only using Chase for Cashback these days, so it’s not affecting me really badly but it’s not a good show.0 -
Thanks all. Here's everything MSE knows about the outage:

I was just able to login and transfer funds out to another bank.0
