😢 jammed SIM card tray in new phone
Options
Hi people, stressful day with phone. I got a new iPhone and rang apple( who are usually excellent at support) who weren't very helpful at all, didn't listen to me, and I ended up doing some things wrong, like resetting it. I managed to sort up the problems myself in the end but I rang to ask how to put the sim in , more concerned in case I put it in wrong , again they didn't listen to what I was asking for help with, so I just pushed the tray in and now it's jammed. The adviser says if it's showing no service , I need to contact the carrier, but Ive still got the other phone connected.
What a mess. Be gentle please.

If the tray will not come out with the tool you need to go to someone who has more experience in these things, an Apple Genius Bar would be best.

If you've still got a jammed SIM, take a few deep breaths and see if reading that might enable you to unjam it without a trip to a specialist shop.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!2 -
Go along to your local Apple store, or your providers shop?1

As baser999 suggests, It might be worth trying your phone carrier ie EE / Vodafone etc etc local shop to see if they can unjam the SIM tray. Even if your carrier doesn't have a store near to you, try going into any local friendly phone shop to see if they can help you. I'm sure they'd do it free of charge.
