ECO4 Flex

Different areas have different things they may or may not install. A totally pointless exercise if you have crap pre-fensa double glazing dominating the northern face of your house as that will not be covered (unless you take the windows out and fit single glazing which does qualify). I don't think it is an efficient system at all but does tick boxes so that minister can preen themselves...0

How are people getting on with their applications? It's been over 12 months now since my initial survey and it doesn't seem to be any closer. They've recently requested my payslips and bank statements for the 4th time..0

Our local authority confirmed our eligibility for ECO4 Flex and referred us to their delivery partner. Absolutely nothing happened. Zero contact. I have since enquired to the council about the lack of response but that enquiry was also met with no response.
We qualified on several counts including the vulnerability to cold due to my cancer.I think there must be a prioritisation of applicants and we just fail to make it that list. As they have not asked more questions the priority must be based on a superficial view. Perhaps the postcode and demographic profile. Homeowners in rural, civilised villages probably sifted out.It is a shame really as all the other schemes in our area are specifically targeted to people in receipt of benefits. Those with health related problems are only covered by the ECO4 Flex, or not as the case is.Note that the conditions on these schemes are determined by local policies and they may be different in other council areas.1 -
This is disappointing to read, we have someone coming to survey next week for the ECO4 grant. I don't expect we'll be able to have any work done though as I'm against having the cavity walls insulated as we're near the Dorset coast and have lots of wind driven rain off the sea. I'm hoping they might have a solution for that0

After submitting our income for the 4th time the council finally came back and declined our application because we don't meet eligibility requirements.
Simply because in the 14 months or so, our income has changed and exceeded the threshold. I've been through almost 2 winters holding off adding any extra insulation myself at the chance we might get it all installed but there we are..0
