The ASHP would likely have to go where the boiler currently sits outside so it would be moved.
What the difference in disconnecting and decommissioning it. Either way I'll be keeping the boiler, as I would try sell it on otherwise. Its basicly brand new0 -

I've got solid stone walls, but I've left them bare as I was under the impression ECO4 would take back any covering I put on back to bare stone anyway. However I was approved for it back in January, I've had two surveys, and absolutely nothing since, despite a few emails and calls.0

I know of a pensioner with a really old boiler, more than 30 years old. She just gets a state pension and a work pension. She doesnt/cant claim any benefits. It looks like she cant claim for Eco4 either ??Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

And a work pension could be £30k pa or more.ECO4 and similar schemes are intended to help.people who are in fuel poverty. If she isn't, she's unlikely to qualify.N. Hampshire, he/him. It looks like she cant claim for Eco4 either ??If not on benefits then in practice the two basic criteria for ECO4 funding are:1) Household income below £31,000 and2) EPC rating of E, F, or GIt's also important to note that ECO4 will not just replace the boiler; it's a whole house upgrade that will include an air source heat pump, new storage tank, solar panels and wall and loft insulation. You cannot just choose to have the bits you want, to be eligible for the grant you have to have everything.Every generation blames the one before...

freebies from the govn for people who are not on welfare (under 30k income and savings (other than interest) do not count) are so rare that I suspect the whole system is now completely overloaded by people desperate to save money on electric and gas... a more direct solution without a myriad of agencies and council involvement might work better and even save the govn some money but that would require both intelligence and commonsense from our "masters"... most of the heat will be going out of the windows so portholes on all sides except the south might work well (I have two huge north facing bay windows (pre fensa DG) that are permanently filled with celotex board insulation (painted black on the outside so it just looks like closed blinds to curious neighbours and covered by curtains on the inside, a couple of hundred quid at most to diy that transform heat retention (the only windows on the south side).0
