So that's my unbiased review. I'm still looking at other providers though as that always makes sense.

That's odd because on their website it says you will save £12 on just energy compared with the new cap.

My bad, it was £50 (approx) not 500. I'll try and edit above.

To be precise my new rates give me a typical usage cost of £2431.95, my actual cost on real usage is £2837.65 (higher than average electric consumption).

UW are cheaper than the cap (discount on standing charge) so will be cheaper than most.  However the discount is minimal unless you take other non energy services from them.
