Can I claim for delay or will it be a waste of time?

We returned from Lanzarote on 1 October 2022. Our flight was delays circa 3 hours 5 minutes. I am aware there is a 3 hours cut off for claiming compensation and whilst we went over that deadline, should we try to claim from Ryanair. The reason given for the delay was that the pilot and co-pilot had to fly in from Dublin to East Midlands and then fly the outbound flight to Lanzarote which caused the delay. We were not offered any refreshments either in the airport or on the return flight and whilst we did purchase extra we did not retain the receipts because we were not aware we could also claim for them.

It depends on the exact time the first door was opened on arrival, not the length of delay on departure. You can check whether you have a potential claim at bottonline.co.uk but there is no need to use their services.
