No it’s not. The payment period starts on 8th November but extends to 23rd November (for most people). This period applies to those qualifying under DWP benefits. Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.4 -
This is basically a lottery then, had I become 'poor enough' to get UC three days earlier I would be £324 better off. It's not very well thought through and sadly many will fall through the gaps.0

I wouldn't say it's a lottery. The Government have to set a criteira otherwise everyone that claims those benefits would be entitled. It was the same for the support during Covid, some got everything, some got a little and others got nothing. They can't please everyone.
