If it is Income Related, is it possible that he missed the payment in his bank? It would have said DWP CoL payment (£326) paid in July.

fyi - MiL's account received the DWP Col on Friday. So it may have been received by now for the OP's brother.

Took me a minute to figure our what it was when I was checking her account.  She didn't get the July payment, presumably as she was in hospital at the time and not in received of AA as a result.  AA did resume when she moved to a care home but she died 20th Sept so I'm surprised she got the Col - then again the death was just registered last Wed so systems would have been go by then.  I'm assuming they may decide to ask for it back.

The July payment was for people on means-tested benefits, there's only one for disability benefits.

    Sorry for your loss.
