Can my brother get col payment

Hi everyone so my brother is disabled and lives at home with my parents, he gets dla and my mum was just wondering if my brother gets any of the col payments or is it based on the income for my parents? I can't seem to find any info anywhere so if anyone can help that would be great

He is entitled to the £150 disability payment if he was getting DLA prior to 25th May.

Is he receiving any other benefits (such as ESA or UC)?

If it's Income Related ESA he's claiming then he should have received a payment of £326 in July.

It doesn't. I had gathered that since he's claiming ESA in his own right.

He hasn't recieved any payments at all. We weren't sure if he was entitled to anything as my parents pay the bills etc

You need to find out if his ESA is contributory or income related (means tested). if the latter then he should have had a £326 COL payment in July (as poppy posted) as well as £150 COL for receiving DLA.

It doesn’t matter who pays the bills.if he was getting income based ESA in May he should have received an additional CoL payment of £326. Here’s the link again

So if its not income based esa he's not entitled to anything?

If the ESA is not income based then he doesn’t qualify based on ESA. If his ESA is more than £117.60/week then he is getting some income based ESA.
