Spring Parking

Hi there
Having won a parking claim earlier this year, I thought my days of having to fight parking charges was over, but alas! Spring Parking have decided its not to be.
I'm struggling a little with the defence the driver could use with this one, as the driver doesn't have a permit, however this car park is very small, and has spaces on either end which aren't covered by Spring Parking, which relate to businesses at either end. The driver works for one of these companies and so assumed they would be covered by this.
Is this defendable or am I best to pay up?

Hilarious signage placement!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You mention a 'claim' and the need to provide a 'defence'.
Using those words, can we assume you have a County Court Claim to Defend, or are you not yet at that stage?1 -

No, still within the 14 days appeal period for the ticket, so at the very start of the process.
One of the businesses with permits is a charity I often donate to, so I'll try them as a starting point to get it cancelled.
Otherwise, any thoughts on appealing with Spring?0 -
Same as any windscreen PCN. The tactic is standard and is explained in the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes of course get it cancelled if you can.
Failing that, the opening post on the NEWBIES thread contains a template appeal in blue text that the keeper should send to Spring Parking without telling them who was driving.1 -
I'd argue on the grounds of poor/ obscured signage. The text is tiny, it's obscured by an extractor fan going through it and if there was a van or 4x4 parked in front then it would be completely obscured. I can't even make out what ATA it is let alone T&Cs! If that's the only sign then it doesn't likeky meet the ATAs codes of practice regarding an entrance sign or size/ positioning etc.1

But obviously not till day 26.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you work for a business that has genuine right to be on that car park with permits your first port of call is to the business that you work for!

It's hard to explain. There's a dividing wall which separates the spaces of the company the driver works for, with 4 that are permit only. Although its not really clear.
I'm not sure who owns the car park either, as it's really just a small patch of shared space at the back of some shops.
Anyway, will do as above and revert! Thanks as always.0 -
Quick question - if under the 'debt recovery' tab on the BPA website the company is listed as'no', does that mean they can't chase fake PCN debts?
