Millions of households on low incomes are missing out on average savings of almost £150 a year on their broadband bills, according to Ofcom. The industry regulator has called on providers to better advertise discounted deals for those on benefits – see a full list of available tariffs in our story below.

Yet again an assumption that everyone struggling with bills lives in rented accommodation.The headline always says ‘Help for those on low incomes’ but is only available for those on Universal Credit or Pension Credit etc.
Try getting Universal Credit if you’re paying a mortgage taking away a third of your net income and payments going up every month.Sure we’ll be left with an asset after 35 years but we’d be better off just handing the house back to the lenders and at least have food to eat.0
