Trouble with ID mobile transferring number.

I give ID mobile my PAC code expecting my number to transfer over which hasn't happened. (I waited 2 days)
I phoned ID mobile and explained I'm within 30 days of my cooling off period and would like to to cancel my contract because you've failed to transfer my number over.
ID mobile says we have an issue and technical teams is in charge of transferring your number and can take up to 72 hours and unfortunately you can't have your PAC code or cancel your contract at this moment in time.
Does anyone know if this is correct.

Why can't you just wait for the 72 hours for the transfer to complete? In the meantime you still have full service with Three.
It's usually a seamless switch, but sometimes there can be delays. No free lunch, and no free laptop2 -
Hi so if I put my three sim back in my phone I will get my old number back until the iD switch is done.0

It can take up to three working days to resolve a split port. This is because both networks have to manually work together to resolve the issue, and communication is usually via email.1

OK thanks for help.0

Received update this morning
OkKindly be advised that your number transfer will be complete on 03/10/2022 by 6pm for the latest.
Kindly also be advised that there will be a few hours on the day that the number transfer completes that you will not have any service with your old network provider and iD Mobile and this is because iD Mobile basically has your number already and what's happening during this time is that all iD Mobile's settings and configurations are being transferred over to the number.

They are an unbelievable company, i asked them where they were based as both the phone and live chat is a test of patience, and they say south africa, which might explain why they say will get back to you within 48 hours rather than just connect you.
i have been a customer for years without any problems until i bought a second phone for my wife.
i asked them to transfer her old number to the new number through live chat, and today i get a message on my phone saying my wife's old number is now my number. i didnt even give them my number in the live chat. they have checked the live chat transcript and confirmed this but says its irreversible. this was a business phone so the damage is harsh. they have no way of escalating an issue so your stuck with people who apologise really well but arent able to help you. they might seem like a good company with their prices but you need to think about their service if your ever going to buy from them.0 -

It seems they are still having the same problems,
Having been told by Plusnet Mobile that they are closing I checked on the MSE website for “recommendations,” and plumped for ID Mobile as they use “3”network who I moved from to Plusnet.
The billing process setting up the direct debit etc. went smoothly, the order was placed yesterday and the SIM arrived this morning. I received a PAC code from Plusnet and the troubles began.
I was unable to port my existing number neither the ID Mobile app nor the online website would accept the PAC code and transfer the number, the chat line was non-existent and the 0330 phone number goes to a voice recording. I did however get routed to an individual when I requested via that phone number a cancellation of the contract. I received by text from IDMobile that for cancellation I would be charged £78.03 for the portion of the contract unused, despite the fact that they could not port my number. Such a charge is surely illegal since the cancellation would have been well within the 14 days normal cooling off period.
I eventually spoke with a lady “sounded Indian” who assured me that my existing number would be ported next Monday after 6pm when I should receive a text confirming the number port transfer.
If that does not happen I will cancel the contract and take the necessary action to avoid the charge. If it does, I would still be minded to cancel after the 12 months.
Not good service in my book

I would be surprised if not being able to port your number in constitutes a breach of their contract with you, however if the t&c's state that you have a 14 day cooling off period then they should only be able to charge you for the period they have supplied you with service imo.0

Is anyone else totally fed up with Id Mobile? Can't get into my account or elicit any response from anyone. Now they are refusing to provide a PAC number so I can keep number. Why are they still being recommended?0
