Tranferring number with the same provider

Options
Currently have 2 lines with EE that i wish to wittle down to 1

my main number ( lets call it line 1 ) i wish to keep but transfer onto 2 line with EE

EE wasnt giving any decent retention deals......so can i do the following ( EE say noy )

PAC my line 1 number out to another operqtor....say Lebara and then PAC my number back onto my line 2 with EE ?

EE say i cant do this as teir system would detect my line 1 number trying to PAC the nunber back onto line 2 and would reject it

Technically there is no reason why this should not work, its just a triangular port that many people use when renewing a contract with the same supplier.

Where there may be an issue is if you have both numbers under the same account. The number that you are porting away will remain associated with this account for at least 1 billing cycle to clear down any outstanding debits/credits. You would be unlikely to be able to change the remaining number to the old one while this is ongoing.
  • well im gonna go 4 it and see what happens.

PAC"d my number to SMARTY...will stay for 2 months and attempt a PAC back....see what happens
