Washing machine not getting clothes clean, time for a new machine? Recommendations please

My 7 year old Beko washing machine is adding time on to programs and even on the odd occasion changing programs.
I’ve made sure it’s level, done all sorts of thing to clean it, cleaned the filter, changed washing detergent, tried different in wash stain removers, pre treatments etc but stains not coming out and clothes just don’t seem to be coming out as clean as they used to.
Been looking at new washing machines, but there are so many and they all promise the earth. I need a 8 kg machine, 1200 spin and have a budget of approx £500, recommendations please
Thank you

To be honest, and maybe it's my age, but I've come to the conclusion most modern washing machines (or detergent?) are utterly pants (I'd use a stronger word). I'm not saying i long for a time of twin tubs but i am sceptical that the new machines work well at all. If you find one that cleans well i'd be interested to know what magical unicorn you've found

I'm not sure a fully working washing machine can deteriote to a point where it's noticeably not cleaning clothes as good as it once did. All things being equal, and assuming it's not faulty, the act of washing the clothes, ie agitating them in the drum in itself hasn't changed. The only variables are the detergent used, or the cleanliness of the water inside the machine (have you cleaned the WM?).
I'm running a Bosch WM that I've owned for over 20 years and it still cleans as good as it ever did.1 -
Assuming you're set on getting a new machine, we got a Samsung 8Kg, 1400 spin speed machine from John Lewis earlier this year on offer and with £50 trade-in/recycling of old machine. Total cost was £389 and the warranty was upgraded from 2 to 5 years when I registered it.

£500 is a big budget, go bigger and do fewer washes.
why 1400 spin one with a good spin efficiency would be better choice.
if you want 8kg there is this one 1/2 your budget.

When my lovely Beko got damaged by dropping the microwave on it during a move I had to buy quickly and I'm pleased.Zanussi 8kg 1400 spin Lindo 100?The only odd thing was the full wash was over 2hrs or even 3hrs!I found that washing synthetics and cottons on 'Delicates' which is an hour got them good and clean. No rugby players kit though. Does my filthy gardening jeans fine.

I think that these long washes are pretty typical - our Bosch takes nearly 3 hours for our standard 'mixed' wash. It defaults to 40oC, tho', so I suspect it's to do with getting a good clean at lower temps.Ok, I've just had a look and that can't be the case, as lowering the temp to 30oC reduced the wash time to 2:18 :-(1

Have you tried running a cleaning solution through it on a very hot cycle (and by very hot, I mean 90C, not 60C)?
If still no improvement, I'd be looking at a mid-range Bosch, from JL to ensure you get the 2 year warranty.
£500 is a good budget for mid-range: anything much under that will be cheap over-run/badge-engineered jobs, usually built in Turkey by Vestel. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Ive come across an EBAC British washing machine, it’s over budget but does come with a 7 years parts and labour guarantee, so could stretch to it. Does anyone have one?0 -
We had a Samsung that failed the local repair man said cheap to buy new than repair due age and he said Siemens/Bosch as parts are easy to come buy so we got the Siemens same spec as the Bosch but had longer warranty for £10 more1
