My bugbear with EDF on the "standard" DD payment is this nonsense of only getting a bill every 6 months, but I get a sneaking feeling someone indicated elsewhere that the whole amount monthly/exact amount DD option removes this issue. If we do end up switching the electricity to them I'll most likely go for that option, but I really can't see them being very happy if I wanted to switch the gas to that way of working allowing for the low use!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Not sure why they wouldn’t be happy as long as they’re getting their money, don’t suppose they’ll careEssexHebridean said:My bugbear with EDF on the "standard" DD payment is this nonsense of only getting a bill every 6 months, but I get a sneaking feeling someone indicated elsewhere that the whole amount monthly/exact amount DD option removes this issue. As stated above, what matters is your annual consumption in kWh/year.MigsyBigsy said:im still in shock that I have to pay £107 pm and I barely use any gas (electric cooker)
What most people have yet to appreciate is that £100s worth of energy bought in October last year by the Ofgem typical consumer will cost £195 from next week onwards. (The power of compound interest: 54% increase in April and 27% next week).0 -
I only signed up to EDF from the previous tenant from 23 July.molerat said:
