JET2 Compensation

Following a 12 hour delay on the return flight on a JET2 package holiday, I submitted a compensation claim via their website on 15/06/22. I attached all the required supporting documentation along with a letter using a template from the MSE website. Numerous telephone calls and emails later, all I've had are excuses saying that the wait time for a response was 8 weeks, then 9 weeks, then 12 weeks. I've still not had a response. I'm aware of the procedure to follow if a compensation claim is refused, however my question is what can I do if the travel company simply ignore the claim?

If you're confident that the delay wasn't due to extraordinary circumstances beyond the airline's control, issue a letter before action and then go to MCOL (aka 'small claims court')....0

Hi, the flight left Faro and was diverted to Alicante due to 'technical issues' according to the pilot. Without a response to the claim from JET2 I don't know if they're going to claim the delay was caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond the airline's control or not.0

Technical issues are not extraordinary, they occur in the normal course of running an airline, so I would say there is a valid claim0
