Pay the parking charge before having an appeal result?

I have received a parkingeye charge notice. I have made an appeal but i am not sure of the appeal's result. Do I need to pay the charge first because it will increas a lot after 14 days and the appeal result certainly cannot be made before that date. Hope someone can help!
