Pay the charge before having appeal result?

I received a parkingeye charge notice. I have tried to appeal. I am not sure the appeal result. Do I need to pay the charge first as the charge amount will increase a lot after 14 days but i think they certainly cannot reply me before that date! Hope someone can help me!

Why would you be paying them a single penny? Do you really expect the appeal to be upheld? PE will reject it, no doubt about it. The whole point is it then gets you a POPLA code and you appeal to them.1

The landowner will cancel this for you anyway if you've followed what the Newbies thread tells you is PLAN A (which is NOT 'appeal').PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
