I think I may be getting somewhere with EDF...
That sounds like progress. Do keep us updated, it will help others who find themselves in the same position!

My thoughts that I was getting progress at the start of October were a false dawn.  I eventually got a reply back from the complaint handler, where it appears somebody had gone back and listened to my calls, as the email summarised exactly the conversation I had had with them, where they confirmed I could have a totaliser tariff. The complaint handler then said they had resolved my complaint and closed it, without actually sorting out the tariff. Given all the messing about, I've gone down the Resolver route and the complaint has been re-opened with a different handler (looks like this is done offshore judging by the names and the clunky grammar in the text). Finally they are saying they can sort a totaliser tariff but have said it will take until 5th December to resolve the complaint. No mention of it being backdated, and given EDF only bill six-monthly it could take a while to resolve this yet.

In the meantime I'm still trying to push energy use into overnight, and getting up silly early to do my ironing.

    I will keep you updated.
