Does anyone have a spreadsheet template for gas/electric use?

Options
Hi - not a technical person but would like to create a spreadsheet (on my MacBook) to chart energy used per month over the last couple of years (using my old bills) and compare year on year side by side in the form of a table/chart with bars. Then project spending for the next year or so using unit rates.

If anyone has an empty template that they use that they would share, I would appreciate it. I realise that it isn't a comparison in costs as they are changing, but is there even a way to account for that also?

I'm sitting with 'Numbers' spreadsheet open but it's not going well. I might eventually crack it but if anyone has already done it, that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Quick question and apologies if its an obvious one but do you have monthly readings/monthly bills.

You should be able to view current and historical energy use and costs in graphical format on your energy supplier account..
We're with Octopus and its quite easy to log onto our account and view or even download the information.
Our readings are at half hour intervals so quite accurate.

Sticking the data in a spreadsheet is easy.

Getting graphs can take a bit of time if not done before as you need the data to axis right.

In practice it may be overkill, how much has the annual consumption changed over the last few year.

Unless you add or remove consumers or change behaviour it is not going to change a lot year on year.
