I recently returned from Cape Verde. Our flight was delayed by 3 hrs 27min. My friend booked identical holiday same flights hotels etc. She received compensation to value of £260. I have been told I am not entitled to any compensation why.

We both booked through TUI. Only difference She booked in TUI store I online.0

If you both submitted delay compensation claims for the same flight delay then you should obviously receive the same compensation - what's the reason the airline has given you for declining your claim? Was your friend's compensation definitely claimed from the airline, in the same way as you've done?0

Were you the lead passenger for your booking ?Write to TUI again and challenge the decision. If they do not resolve it , you can then refer it to Aviation ADR .
