My Mum has been with PAYG White Mobile for years. They have now rebranded and are only offering monthly packages. Which are the cheapest PAYG SIM cards with good reception for light users?

I use Smarty, £6 per month, but we get £1 discount for being a low user.

Otherwise they charge 5p per min/text and 1p per mb.
For very unbalanced usage try 1pmobile, if the phone gets used heavily one or two months a year. £10 topup required every 120 days. 1p per min/text/mb

And should say both rwg and 1p connect through ee so generally have good reception across uk (rwg has 4g connection and identifies as now mobile (i think they have a wholesale arrangement). 1p will connect to 5g i believe and allows WiFi calling which is useful if you have poor reception indoors))

A few but some are discontinued or are expensive now

Three new PAYG expensive but handy for adding a bundle for USA roaming.

Three data reward(200MB free), no longer available, and may have lost the 321 rates

O2 classic, 321 rates and are still floating around on ebay(paid 20p for 2 last year)
(we use as main number as they have a good rewards scheme free coffee, beer  and cinema)  

2 current low use choice readily available

RWG already mentioned  used to be free but have a one off £5 or £15 for ongoing free allowances probably the best choice if you can fit in the allowances(I think you can swap in/out of the monthly options if you need more for short periods)

The 30 day rolling are another option which can be close to or better than PAYG depending on use.

the 6 month at 1p per month Lebara and Lyca were the go to a month ago.

They both  still have decent options for a low user with 6 month intro rates.
