    Regarding the breakers for each appliance. this is not correct. Each appliance has to be easily isolatable, so if you have a dishwasher that is built in, you need to have a switch at an easy to reach location to isolate it (e.g. you dont need to remove the dishwasher to turn off its power).

    Maybe they was thinking about using the breakers as isolators, which I wouldn't recommend. The best solution would be to have a switch above the counters close to the appliance and labelled as such. Its a little bit more extra work, which is probably why they wanted to use the MCBs as the isolators.
