Hi, Anyone know much about this stuff - I spotted a debit on my Nationwide acc - only for £4.99 and I think it's to the iTunes store from the details it shows. I don't subscribe or pay for anything from Apple as far as I am aware - But I DID add my Nationwide card to the Apple Wallet on my iPhone the other day - I didn't see anything about a charge for doing this, and I only did it because my phone was nagging me to "complete setting it up" after installing a new ios, and the wallet was the only thing outstanding so I just added a card. Is this a normal charge? I have reported it to Nationwide but these things take ages to resolve and someone here might know ...

Could you have paid for something via Apple pay by mistake?1

I have never yet used my phone to pay for anything.

Its nothing to do with Apple Pay.
If it was for a service with Apple such as an iTunes album or an app you would have an email receipt from Apple.
Contact Nationwide as it sounds like unauthorised use of your card and you'll need to get a new card number.1 -
Did you get an email from Apple as well? I normally get all their invoices via email, so it would be clear(er) what the amount was for (I get these for monthly iCloud charge, stuff I purchase within games etc - subject is always "Your invoice from Apple")1

Thanks jon, I don't log on that often either, so lucky I spotted it. I have logged the transaction with Nationwide, wait and see I suppose. £4.99 isn't a big deal, but a few years ago my wife got a chargee for 1 cinema ticket in London to a debit card - you hat to show the card to collect the ticket and it wasn't us (200+ miles away) so no big deal - until the next transaction which was for a boob job (yes really) - the small purchase was probably fraudster testing the water.

You may have downloaded an App with a free period that has now expired.1

On your iPhone go into "Settings" and click on your name. Then select "Subscriptions`'. Anything there for £4.99? I have Apple TV+ at £4.99.1

It wouldnt be anything to do with Apple Pay
Go into Settings -> AppleID (top option) -> Media & Purchases -> Purchase History

Quick update, Apple said it was a renewal for a subscription ... Have I ever paid before I asked? Errrrr no.Various reasons why I must have subscribed such as "Your Apple account is very secure and has multiple layers of security" were suggested, but I know I have never and would never subscribe. I don't watch anything on my phone, screen is too small. They agreed to refund it and cancel any renewal but warned me ... If I subscribe again I might not get the same price
