When some members of the family said they wanted to attend the cremation service, the executor called the probate service and was told you have to follow what is in the will.
As already mentioned though, I'm not sure I see the point of writing it down in this case, if the son is already aware and seems to be the only person likely to have an interest?1 -
ISTM that funerals are for the benefit of the living wanting closure rather than the dead who will not be in a position to care. As others have said an expression of wishes in a will has no legal status. So I will leave my relations to celebrate, or otherwise, my life in any way they see fit.0
