Is this a silly idea? Washing line in conservatory

Thank you everyone. I shall make my purchase. I always have windows open as I don't like stagnant air, so ventilation and mould won't be a problem. I'm glad it wasn't a bonkers thought to put up a wall-attached washing line in the conservatory!0

You can always open a window, and it's not going to cause any more condensation or damp than it would if you dried your sheets indoors.

If GWS doesn't heat that room, and ventilates it literally as much as they can whilst the clothes are in there, they should have no condensation issues at all. Once the clothes are brought 'indoors' for final 'airing', perhaps on/in front of radiators (if on), then the con' should be kept ventilated, tho' doors could be shut, and windows put to 'vent'.
It will be like drying the clothes in a covered outdoor space. And as dry as that. Which is dry.
Cond on the inside windows 'might' form on - I'm thinking - cold-sunny-NON-windy days - so the internal temp builds (so increasing clothes evaporation), with the outside temp still low (so providing very condensable surfaces), but with little draught to remove the moist air. But I think this - if it even happens - would be minor, and would soon clear.
In essence, if you thoroughly ventilate ANY room, regardless of its temp, it will be dry.0 -
