Did anyone else think that the snails were eating better than themselves? Imagine paying for that, some people have more money than sense.

@fzbob - no need to buy a little net if you have an old tea strainer or use an old sock and a wire coat hanger if you want to be really MSE.

Mine tend to cluster around the jets (the ones that suck).
how does a net or tea strainer get them off that?
They generally aren’t floating around in the water which is on a filter cycle.
dead snail would end up in the plastic basket ahead of the filters.

The dead crawlies on the jet need to be pulled off with fingers.
if your squeamish don’t get an outside hot tub.

the other lot are in the lid along with their faeces if they’ve been living there (after the lid degrades) so I use a cloth for that.
at a certain point I buy a new lid and initially it’s less habitable.

it’s a lot less glamorous than it looks in the adds.

I agree, the snails I found were stuck to the sides, one of them was stuck to the grill inlets to the filters. So was probably floating b/4 that.
Yes, I did pick them off.
As stated, I have ordered a telescopic net, andI will be more vigilant in the future.
