I think a big problem of society is we look at winning and losing on things like this, it encourages people to be selfish and only think about themselves and their family.
I think the EPG vs no EPG is a win for society as the alternative would have been far worse, yes not for every individual but for society as a whole. Yes it has various flaws, lots of wastage, but make no mistake if we just carried on as if everything is ok with the Ofgem caps it would have been very much more messy.
Even future tax payers who some might see as losers will benefit from starting as a taxpayer in a more stable economy than they would have done if chaos had been allowed to ensue.6 -
Spot prices still falling, hopefully concerted Govt. interventions in the wholesale market will shake out the spivs and speculators.
