This means they haven't set the qualifying date for the second payment yet.

Come November, pension-age benefits are overall more generous than working-age benefits, so depending on your income when you do come off UC, it's very possible you will be entitled to Pension Credit, Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Support.  You should check entitlement with a benefits calculator.

The qualifying week for state pension extra payments is quite early, before November for definite, so it's doubtful the OP will qualify for it.

I think the poster meant the Winter Fuel Payment. if so, the OP won't qualify for a WFP this year as the qualifying date for receiving a payment this winter is that the person must have been born on or before 25 September 1956.
