  • Just a tip, if the booking process requires you to sign into wowcher and then from their it links through to the gym website, are you certain it's a technical problem/fault on their end and not on yours? I don't know what security software you run or what device you're using, but I know that the software I use often interferes with things like website checkout, or handovers/login from one site to another. If you haven't already, it may be worth trying to do this on a different device to the one you've already used, a different browser, or temporarily disabling your adblocker/s.

It is important to realise that when you buy a massage from Woucher you are not buying a massage you are buying a voucher.

It is exactly the same as if for example you bought a gift token from WH Smith. if it was faulty when you came to the checkout they would give you a replacement gift token but you would not be entitled to your money back

First sentence I agree with.  But the second?  If the voucher  itself was faulty, wouldn't you be entitled to a refund on the grounds that it's the product and is faulty?

Is it not repair or replace for a faulty product.

It's repair or replace then refund/price reduction but refund if requested within the first 30 days.

If the voucher is for a date of choosing by the purchaser then it's impossible to repair/replace if the the required booking date is, for example, tomorrow and can't go ahead as desired so you'd jump to refund.

I think the contract for the voucher is with Wowcher and then whatever you use that voucher to purchase the contract is with the merchant, but I'm too lazy to read their TCs in full, so if that's correct Wowcher should be refunding the purchaser in full to the original payment method if the voucher can not be redeemed.

" I'm too lazy to read their TCs in full" ... good call, life is indeed too short as they are long and complex.

That made me laugh too.. it's a catch 22 I think. T&C's are so complex no one really reads them until there's an issue .. and then some of us (including me)  pull them up on not complying with legislation required - when we know no one reads them
