My Grandmothers Broadband/phone contract is due to expire. We need the WiFi for security cameras and we need the landline as she has an emergency fall service. The current provider has her registered as a priority service user due to her mobility issues, do all providers have to provide this service?

Who is the current contract with?It won't "expire" it will just reach the end of its minimum term and carry on as before with maybe a different price.Firstly ask the current provider what deals they can offer in the future.0

Thank you it’s plusnet and their service has been great. just not sure what I should be looking for as the priority now is that she gets on the preferential telephone service list and not sure how we can review suppliers0

So why don't you just negotiate a new deal with PN? Just as you approach the end of minimum term is the perfect time to do this, and you can invariably get a reduction.
Otherwise, let it roll on-but the price may well go up, unless you are already paying the rack rate.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
