Look, I'll be genuinely pleased if I'm completely wrong. Really. And I'm actually reassured that I probably am, so thanks to those that gave constructive advice.
To those whose only response to a person who is genuinely worried enough to bare their thoughts on a public forum is sarcasm and nastiness, sometimes without even answering the question...you've also cheered me up, despite your best efforts.1 -
I'm glad you'll be pleasantly surprised.1

Hello steveholc,
You can use MSE's calculator here to see how much you'll pay under the new EPG. Just put in your annual electric usage figure and your region. Hopefully it should be close to The_Fat_Contoller's estimate

There’s no probably about it. You’ve got peoples’ backs up by continuing to argue the toss about an issue where there is no ambiguity. And I'm actually reassured that I probably am,0 -
This. Very much this. If we've seen it already with people just discussing the future - just wait until we see the threads from people after the bills start to arrive.wittynamegoeshere said:A far bigger concern is that I seriously think that some households will have the heating blazing away on full all winter, based on the assumption that they're paying a fixed price for all they can eat. In which case they're going to have a heck of a shock.3
