Fast broadband options (London) other than Virgin - twist or stick?

We have Virgin M350 Fibre broadband and are now out of contract, so looking at other options to save money and possibly improve the service. £36/month currently. It's fast, some of the time, but not that reliable, and especially annoying on Sunday nights (though maybe any broadband would be). Two adults, some home working, we do a lot of streaming TV, Zoom/Teams calls (sometimes simultaneously), no gaming. We're not interested in TV packages, just broadband.

We don't have a phone line connected and would need to pay an activation fee and faff around with BT Openreach for packages with line rental, so have generally avoided that.

Trying Three 5G home broadband but it's not that great - keeps cutting out and upload speed is bad (plus sometimes download speed also rubbish). Still within the 30 days money back period they advertise, so thinking of cancelling - though of course their website is confusing on how to do this.

Community Fibre looks interesting, but it keeps saying 'coming soon' - not sure if worth sticking with Virgin until it does, anyone used? G. Network looks interesting but has terrible reviews.

Any recommendations for other options which can handle the above? Are those plug and play dongles any good, or only for light use? Recommendations welcome.
