I have actually encountered somebody in another place who was happy to pay more for domestically produced British electricity over cheap and inferior imported rubbish!

Also on the subject of people who don't understand stuff, a timber agent that we use sat in our office and asked why I had to charge my electric car when self charging hybrid charge their batteries whilst driving. He really thought somebody could make a self charging electric car by just removing the petrol engine from the hybrid!
