  • Small update time as I haven't been on in a while. Budgets are all going as planned. I don't have much left in my grocery budget, but we have a lot in the fridge/freezer/cupboards so I think we will only need top up items like bread & milk. If it turns out I do need a few other things, I do have some Asda vouchers that I can use, although I am hoping to keep them for some Christmas treats so I am going to try my best not to spend them.

I have no fuel budget left, but fingers crossed what I have in the tank will last me until the end of the month. I don't go far anyway & we have no plans for the next week or so

I put an item on ebay last week. It was something I have tried selling on Facebook Marketplace before for just £10 & had no takers. Anyway, put it on ebay thinking hopefully a few people will bid & I'll get the £10 I wanted. It's ending on Sunday & is currently on £45!! No idea why, I've even double checked to make sure I haven't made any errors in the listing, but all is good with it. Can't wait for that to end on Sunday now so that money can go in to my account. More money towards paying these debts off.
  • That's a great result for your eBay item, time for the price to climb even higher before Sunday!

  • Great job with the selling and returning @no1disneymum
I've also failed to post recently and had to do a rapid catch up today. Luckily not spending much meant getting up to date on YNAB took 20 minutes rather than an hour
  • Hi all, thanks for checking in

Well that ebay item sold for £50 in the end. So pleased with that!! There were also a few other items that sold, although not as much as that one. It all adds up though & after postage I have just over £70. I'm going to put that aside until the end of the month & then make an extra payment on to one of the cards.

I have more things on ebay & already got bids on them, which is cool. It's quite addictive actually, logging in to check on bids etc. I have had some messages this morning asking for measurements of one of the items, so I'll get that sorted today.

On the money front, I'm still surprisingly in budget with everything. In fact I still have £22 left in my grocery budget & already have a fridge full of food for this week. I'm feeling really good about things at the moment. I feel like I am making progress, even if it is just small progress. But it is all a step in the right direction & one day I will be able to say that I am debt free. I can't wait for that day to come.

The last of the monthly DD's will be coming out this week & then I can do my tallying up & report back on balances. I already have all the money in the account to cover these DD's, so any extra money I get in from ebay & OH's weekly wage transfer will just sit in the account ready for next month.

We don't have any plans this week. I am working all week & then we have a quiet weekend planned. Next week is half term for us here, so although I am working I am going to try & plan a few things to do with DD.
  • Well done on coming in under budget, it's a great feeling isn't it? Knowing that your efforts are working.  Fab results on eBay too! I need to get some more things on Vinted, might be able to get some done later this week.
    Keep going :)

  • Gosh it's been a while & I forgot to come back to update my end of month totals. I did write them down but I'll just leave it now & update at the end of this month (which is whizzing by!).

Everything just ticking along, no big disasters but unfortunately no unexpected wins either. Just the usual repayments topped up with ebay sales. Still going strong with ebay in fairness, more stuff ending this weekend so fingers crossed I get a decent sum of money

I've been getting organised for Christmas. I have a budget & luckily I have managed to talk family into doing a secret santa, which benefits me two fold because a) I only have to buy for one person and b) we won't end up with lots of unwanted clutter.
  • Secret Santa is a great idea. I have almost bought everything I need now, just a few more presents and then wrapping can commence.
