Hi
I have got back from the summer holiday with my children to a parking fine and also the second letter. Can I still appeal as it’s over the 28 days? It was a 2 hour time limit and i visited both aldi and b&m in that time. I also had to feed my baby in the car before leaving the car park. How is best to proceed?

No you can't, but of course, appeal isn't our tried & tested 'Plan A' anyway!
See the NEWBIES thread. Easy to get it cancelled. No paying it no matter what silly letters arrive.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Aldi HQ have a dedicated parking team. If your approach to the store manager proves unsuccessful, then contact the HQ (in writing). For both approaches provide the receipt or cc/bank statement for purchases on the day of the parking event, and any previous ones to show that you are a regular Aldi customer. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi, I went into the store and the manager added me onto their system. I am still being chased the debt from a debt recovery company (debt recovery plus). I rang them today to advise to liaise with euro car parks as there is no debt to chase, was advised the charge hasn’t been cancelled and that she would note my comments. Advised Aldi added me onto the system as I was a legit customer and also had to feed by baby and that this falls under the equality act for mothers. Do you think this will now go away?0

No but who cares about DRP, why when you have been given where to read (newbies thread) did you ring DRP........Saec1983 said:Hi, I went into the store and the manager added me onto their system. I expect it will persist for some time at least and that you will need to repeatedly remind them that there's nothing for them to chase. Keep all correspondence. Try to do everything by post/email so that there is a record as phone calls can evaporate.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. this advice is wrong, you don't contact DRP!, why would you, they don't own any "debt" you obviously haven't read the newbies thread or don't under stand how most debt collectors workBrie said:I expect it will persist for some time at least and that you will need to repeatedly remind them that there's nothing for them to chase. I suspect that Aldi aren't the main occupier of the car park, otherwise the PPC would be ParkingEye. There's probably a managing agent involved in contracting ECP, in which case I'd be doubtful about how much clout Aldi has in getting tickets cancelled. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I'm surprised the OP doesn't seem to have appealed, given the advice in the NEWBIES thread to do so (AS WELL AS PLAN A).They have now missed the appeal deadline.
No-one phones up DRPlus. This is fully explained in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.
DRPlus are not some sort of customer service' ethical company you can chat to. They are to be ignored now that the OP appears to have missed out the stage of advice to appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you all for the responses, I really do appreciate them. I couldn’t appeal the initial fine as I didn’t know about them until I came back from the summer holidays in wales with my children. (Spent 7 weeks at my parents caravan) I put a post here and it was recommended that I go into the store and speak to the manager as I would t be able to appeal. They added me onto their system to be approved to park. Debt company still sending me letters even though as I see it there is no debt to chase. These letters are predated and arrive on the day of the “deadline” to contact them so I panicked and called them to say there is no debt. So is it still likely that they will proceed with court? What do I do next?0

What do you do next?
You follow the advice previously given which you either dont want to follow or are ignoring
Why do people ask what to do next when its been clearly explained to them. How simple can it be.....
