Incident on a different vehicle/policy - When do I need to declare this on my own insurance policy?

At work this week, a car went into the back of me when I was stationary. I was in my employer's vehicle at the time which I am insured to drive through my employer's fleet policy. A claim hasn't been made yet and I'm not sure if one will be made or not.
I have my own car as well, for which I have my own car insurance policy through Admiral.
Do I have to tell my own insurer now, or at renewal? I've never had an incident/accident before so I don't know how this works. I don't know if I would declare it as me being at fault or not as a claim hasn't been made or settled yet.

You need to read your policy and what they expect, some want to know immediately, most on renewal these days.
You also only need to declare an accident at this stage (which is most likely an on renewal declaration) if no claim has been made. If a claim is made then you need to deal with that as and when it happens in alignment to what your insurer expects.
Check the policy and if it is on renewal, then you have time to let it play out and hopefully be settled before renewal and you can make a declaration as appropriate.0 -

Ok thanks. This is the policy booklet: https://eui-pdf-assets.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/admiral/AD-003-033-Your-Car-Insurance-Guide.pdf
It says "you or any driver on your policy have had any accidents, incidents, thefts, losses or claims (regardless of blame)" under 'when you renew', but it also says "if any information shown on the Motor Proposal Confirmation changes" 'immediately'.
Surely the motor proposal confirmation will say if the driver has had any accidents in the last 5 years?0
