I now have a deputyship in place.

I was just angry when I wrote I was going for 3 months. I'm angry they have a deputyship in place when I'm the best at managing my money on the supported living complex. I'm not going to go away for anything longer then 25 days. I read some peoples advice on here not to stretch it out for 28 days travelling incase my plane gets delayed and I go over the 28 days limits, so I'm going for 25 days when I go..1

The deputy is visiting me tomorrow to discus the deputyship. My supported living manager said he wants to work with me and make it person centred so that makes me feel better. I will work with him.1

thank you @marcia. I know I need help, its not so much I'm bad with money as I do save and no unmanageable debts but people do take advantage off me asking for money all the time and I don't know how to say no. Thats ones of the reason when I seen the psychologist they deemed I lack capacity.1

Well the meeting with the deputy this morning didn't go too well. I have to get rid of all my credit accounts. He told me I get sufficient money from benefits that I don't need credit cards and its only people who are struggling that have credit cards to top up their monthly income. I will just have to take it on the chin and get rid off them.1

It might be for the best. If you are running up credit on cards you will then be using a chunk of your benefits to pay it each month. Meaning more borrowing.Credit cards are useful as a buffer and to get s75 protection when making purchases, particularly large ones, but not necessarily a good thing to live off.2
