Take this to it's logical conclusion, and the 'Cornish cap' should be set to somewhere around £3,500...No free lunch, and no free laptop

I learned everything i know about Scotland from watching Rab c Nesbitt.1

It's as simple as this: You know what the prices are, therefore it is your own choice if you want the heating on not. If you do, then pay the price for taking the nip out the air.1

The majority of us residents of Scotland are ignored and disrespected by the SNP government.

People in Scotland pay more for their energy and the connection charges to sell them back the energy they produce. Something Daily Mail/Express readers probably don't realise.sienew said:What you are actually saying is that people in Scotland use more, so receive more help from the government than anyone else.Really?Scotland is probably mid-tier in its prices, and certainly isn't "the highest."And most of your energy is from wind farms, that don't work when the wind isn't blowing. And your glorious natty leaders aren't so keen on the nuclear and gas powered stations that provide energy when the sun ain't shining and the wind ain't blowing. You could certainly export energy when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining, but it gets dark much earlier in Scotland in winter and that wind won't always be blowing...2 -
Was the OP serious? I was wondering whether it was tongue in cheek.Westertonbilly said:Living in Glasgow I'm embarrassed by the OP. Difficult time for everyone. GERS figure confirm Scotland's public finances and the benefits of The Union. Less than a third of the Scottish electorate vote SNP so despite lots of huffing and puffing and faux grievance Nicola doesn't even have a "mandate" to have a cup of tea.0 -
As usual the Scots are whining that they are being hard done by. They have their own government who get given money by the rest of us in the UK to squander on whatever they want.
They get around £2000 more per person spent on them than the rest of us thanks to the Barnet Formula so surely they could use some of it to subsidise the hard-up Scots rather than wasting it on Independence referenda etc.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers2
