Jet2 Claim - shortage of catering staff

Hi All,
Arrived 4 hours late on a flight from Bristol to Kefalonia in June and put in a claim to Jet2. They've just responded and have refused my claim due to "extraordinary circumstances".
Specifically they say, "The delay to your flight arose as a result of delays arising from catering, including food and water, being uploaded on to the aircraft. The catering provider was an external party to Jet2.com, and the cause of the delay was entirely beyond Jet2.com’s control."
Is this worth pursuing further?
TIA

Yes. The catering firm is a third party subcontracted and paid for by Jet2.This is not a valid EC, in my my opinion. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Jet2 have agreed my claim after I sent an NBA. The email states that payment will take up to 60 days.0
