Virgin new customer deal

Hi, my Virgin broadband deal is about to expire and they have quoted me £47pm to continue (I'm sure I can bring this down by ringing them). They are offering a deal where is effectively £18pm for double the speed I'm getting, but it's for new customers that haven't been with Virgin in the last 12 months only.

Would anyone know if got my son to set it up would he be classed as a new customer?

Thanks

New customer is usually defined as "at that address".  So if your son lives at home (where the deal currently is) the answer will be no.

Phone them up and haggle for it.  See how close they can get to £18.

End the contract, they will then likely ring and offer £16 per month 100mb broadband for 18 months
