Excellent point mum of two. Didn't think of that, would have been just great if we went after they had closed :o

I wish I was that brave LOL but it's a few more guests for us and I can't take the chance, if last year is anything to go by at our Tesco you will be eating parsnips and cabbage by the ton. Have fun and no fighting over the last turkey in the shop.

Good luck, hope you get some bargains, and even if you just end up with mince pies - have a lovely Christmas!

Good luck doing that. I made the mistake of going to Tesco today. They were queueing up the aisles, even the store manager on my till (I managed to find a tiny queue) who was scanning items before reaching the till... I was impressed, but it sort of slowed things up, anyway... he said that they have run out of most things as they do every year, and that the powers that be do not have any comprehension of Christmas every year. Every year they vastly understock popular items.

So I wish you luck in everything you get tomorrow.

I will be in the house celebrating my daughter's 2nd birthday with a homemade Igglepiggle cake :D

  • Hi, my DHs aunt works at Mr T's, her job is reducing things... I don't know if it's the same everywhere but last xmas eve they had set times for reducing the turkeys etc, they went down at 10am, again at 12pm and again at 2pm by which they were the lowest they were going to be (we got a huuuge free range organic turkey for £5)

Anyway, my point being that you might as well go at 2 ish?

Ooooo Thanks for that tip Sarah
    2pm it is!
Getting a bit nervous now, but as DH has pointed out, it's just him and me so if we end up with mince and tatties or bacon and eggs it's not the end of the world.
It's the company that matters - aint he sweet :)
