Travel Insurance - can travel be refused without it? Medical conditions too expensive

    I'm going back to the days of Lunn Poly, late 80s and early 90s. I remember them offering percentage discounts in the shops but you had to sign up to taking (their) travel insurance which negated their discount. 

    Nostalgia isn't what it used to be!
  • The only discount I remember was Thomsons Founder Club - 10% .

    I remember similar through agents.  Coop travel used to include their insurance as part of the price, worth booking through them for the stamps!
