Jet 2 defer holiday

Is it possible to defer a holiday with Jet 2? We were due to go to Menorca on September 22nd but I am in hospital with sepsis and due to other issues found we will not be able to go. The lines are busy and I cannot see a way of asking to defer the booking until 2023.

Do you have travel insurance?1

Keep calling them. There is no necessity for them to accept changes but they to have a very good history with customer service. I am also aware that there have been more complaints this year than in the past. If they won't change you will need to claim off your holiday insurance.Have you looked on Manage my Booking to see if there are any options on-line?0

According to their T&C's they allow date changes subject to an ammendment fee plus any cost difference of the new dates. This close to departure the ammendment fee is £150pp.
As @TELLIT01says Jet2 have a pretty good reputation for customer service so there's a chance they may waive the fee given the circumstances however that would be entirely at their discretion and shouldn't be expected.
And @Grumpy_chap makes a good point about insurance. You may be able to cancel the holiday and claim on your insurance.1 -
My wife and I have separate travel insurance - one policy each. Would she be able to claim on the basis we are a married couple and cannot really go by herself and I think with what is coming will need to be here for me?November 2010 - a Jamie Oliver book

Also I can't see anywhere on the website any way of asking for deferment - does any one know how to do this please or do I keep ringing until someone answers the phone? Could I write to them?November 2010 - a Jamie Oliver book

Unless you have a date you wish to change to, I don't think you will be able to it online. You really do need to continue to try to speak to somebody. Writing to them might not get to anybody for actioning until after your current holiday date. If that happened you would simply lose the holiday. Although you have seperate travel insurance, illness to a person travelling with you and/or illness of a family member will normally be covered.,

FYI - there's probably something on both your policies about having to cancel/delay/change due to a family member being ill etc. Best to check the T&Cs at some point.
Sepsis is nasty - hope you get over it soon.
