Sun claims 4 month freeze on April cap levels.
Seems way too short of a commitment leaving fixers in no mans land as its a gamble if it increases again at end of 4 months.

Telegraph says frozen 'til 2024

I hope any freeze also includes businesses. Personally I don't think the government can afford such a long freeze.doesntnotcompute said:Telegraph says frozen 'til 20240 -
Don't worry, they won't be footing the bill for it. We will. Either through higher taxes or an increased standing charge (or both) - Probably for the next 20 years.sevenhills said:

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.4 -
Hence the concern that if you've taken a fix this year - already paying above April cap and so looking to the promised £400 - you'll now possibly not get that help, still be paying more than everyone else, yet still be included in the 20 year repayment.4

Lets hope they are right, that sounds much better.doesntnotcompute said:Telegraph says frozen 'til 20242 -
Well my concern was over the short length, with a 2 year freeze its easy to quit the fix and know you will be better off for that period of time.jak22 said:Hence the concern that if you've taken a fix this year - already paying above April cap and so looking to the promised £400 - you'll now possibly not get that help, still be paying more than everyone else, yet still be included in the 20 year repayment.2 -

Mentions meetings held yesterday (Monday), and the cost expected 'over 18 months' indicating until 2024.0 -
Assuming a fix until 2024, anyone estimate what, in real terms furlough and this are going to cost us?0
