Driver stopped briefly to drop child off at club 🙄
There was no need. Oh no. That is somewhat naive or selfish parking I'm afraid, not something to do in 'OPS land'.

    All the roads are free.

At night in Portslade you never need any kind of car park.  Same in Brighton.

Please tell the driver not to look for off-road car parks or spaces at night in Sussex.  That's how to avoid tickets.

Did the driver not know that they can even use a double yellow line perfectly legally, to drop and escort a child?  It's what double yellows are for (not joking - they positively allow passenger drop off and pick up activity including escorting a child to or from nearby premises).

Lots of drivers think double yellows mean no stopping. Not true.  They are there for certain reasons and boarding/alighting a passenger, or loading/unloading is always allowed on street.

I'm not criticising, I'm hopefully stopping the driver from ever getting another tedious OPS PCN in Sussex.  Of course no paying the thing but do avoid them entirely by stopping on street legally.

I wish driving instructors would tell people to avoid car parks and shop/office parking spaces like the plague and that drivers can and should stop for certain exempt brief drop offs on double yellows. Not the other way round!

Drives me mad people aren't taught the rules. It would take just a 10 minute chat.

    And yes... seeeeeeeeagulls!

Pretty happy so far this season!  Me and the other Brighton ladies I go with are loving it right now but there's a long road ahead.

    Rather like your scam PCN!

Oh I hope the PCN is not too long and drawn out! A lesson learnt for driver.

Presumably the appeal to OPS should include the blue text and POFA non- compliance NTK.

Nothing else at this stage - nothing re signage/ grace period? Also I can't seem to see their photos until I make appeal - is that right?

The contravention is not showing valid authorisation.

    Thanks so much.

You can see the pics online. No need to appeal first. Have a look how many minutes/seconds between first & last photo.
